Accessibility and Listen
SensoryAtlas is built to be read with a screen reader, read aloud with the Listen button, enlarged, or used with a braille display.
The Listen button
- Select Listen to this page at the top of any page. Your browser reads the main content aloud, one part at a time, and highlights what it is reading.
- Select Speed to change how fast it reads. Your choice is saved on this device.
- Select Stop listening at any time. It never starts on its own.
- It uses your device's own voices, so nothing is sent to us. If you use a screen reader, you do not need Listen: your screen reader will read everything.
Screen readers and braille displays
- Every page has one main heading, clear section headings, landmarks, and a skip link.
- Pictures have descriptions. Decorative graphics, like the braille dots, are hidden from screen readers.
- Every button and form field has a label. Tools announce their results.
- We test with VoiceOver, NVDA, and TalkBack, and check every page against WCAG 2.2 level AA.
Display settings
- Large print: two larger text sizes.
- High contrast: white and gold on black.
- Extra spacing: more space between lines, letters, and words.
- Reduce motion.
- Pages work at 400% zoom and with your device's own magnifier. Settings are saved on this device only.
Tell us about a problem
If something does not work with your screen reader, braille display, or magnifier, email [email protected]. Tell us the page, your device, and what happened. We will fix it.
